Undergraduate Scholarships For LGBT Persons A. Patrick Charnon Scholarship http://www.cesresources.org/ The A. Patrick Charnon Memorial Scholarship helps students afford high quality undergraduate education in their chosen fields of study. Each scholarship will be for $1,500 per academic year, prorated and awarded at the beginning of each academic term (for example, semester or quarter). Recipients may re-apply each year for up to four years, provided they continue to meet the requirements of the award. Funds needs-based scholarships for students actively working toward peace and justice at an accredited institution. Recent grantees have been active in the struggle against racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression. The NGPA Education Fund (NGPA-EF) provides educational assistance in the form of scholarships to students pursuing aviation careers as professional pilots and who have demonstrated community involvement, including support of the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual & transgender (LGBT) community. For the current grant cycle, the award budget is $15,000 with the expected award amount between $3,500 and $5,000. Deadline: Usually first to middle of March PFLAG/HATCH Youth Scholarship Foundation The PFLAG/HATCH Youth Scholarship Foundation offers a scholarship program to assist worthy gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth in the Houston area in pursuing a college education. The scholarship program is for students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement while in high school or college. Application Deadline: Usually the end of April. Queer Foundation Effective Writing and Scholarships Program http://queerfoundation.org/ Queer Foundation Effective Writing and Scholarships Program provides, nationwide, $1,000 college scholarships to outstanding LGBTQA high school students. Ronald P. Wilmot Scholarship http://www.bjesf.org/ 4 to 6 scholarships: $3,000 - $5,000 each. The Ronald P. Wilmot Scholarship Fund of the Jewish Community Federation Endowment Fund provides up to three scholarships annually to children of gay and/or lesbian parent(s) toward undergraduate, postgraduate, or comparable degrees at accredited institutions of higher education.
